NK Tekniikka rolled out PlanVera on its job sites – now progress shows directly on the drawings
Founded in 2018, NK Tekniikka is a full-service trailblazer in the electrical industry, serving customers across Finland. In addition to Kuopio, the company has offices in Oulu, Rovaniemi, Raahe and Pyhäjoki, supporting smooth service across different parts of the country. The cornerstones of the company’s success include not only profitable growth but also investment in modern tools, which contributes to notably high employee satisfaction (an eNPS score of +86!).
Goal: up-to-date drawings on every installer’s tablet
In early summer 2026, NK Tekniikka launched a development project aimed at equipping all installers with tablets, giving them access to always up-to-date drawings and letting them track work progress and redlines. The only thing missing was software that could genuinely support that goal. When NK Tekniikka’s production manager Pasi Bergman heard that PlanVera’s digital drawing and work management service was looking for pilot companies, the timing was right for both PlanVera and NK Tekniikka.
Pilot in summer 2026: rollout went smoothly
The collaboration, which ran through the summer, proved fruitful for both sides. “Getting the core features up and running was quick, the tool is now in use on several job sites, and the feedback has been good — both installers and site management like it,” sums up Petri Pirinen, project engineer at NK Tekniikka, with satisfaction.
PlanVera’s CTO Lars Remes thanks NK Tekniikka for their active communication and development ideas, which were quickly brought into production: “Piloting with NK Tekniikka was exactly what we’d hoped for from our chosen partners — open and straightforward. Thanks to the changes made based on their feedback, PlanVera has now been tested in real-world use and serves users’ needs even better.”
Result: progress is visible directly from the drawing
With PlanVera, site progress is marked directly on the digital plans. At the same time, site management gets a clear view of what’s been done on site and what’s still outstanding. NK Tekniikka’s original goal, then, went beyond simply replacing paper drawings with tablets — PlanVera also helps maintain an up-to-date picture of the site, regardless of time or place.
Collaboration continues
The official pilot phase has now wrapped up, but the close collaboration continues. The results of the work done over the summer will continue to show, both on NK Tekniikka’s job sites and in PlanVera’s ongoing development. For both companies, it ultimately comes down to better tools, smoother work, and investing in the people who do it.
